Paying traffic fines in Turkey is a straightforward process. You have several options to settle the fine depending on your preference and convenience:
1. Online Payment
Visit the Turkey e-Government Portal (e-Devlet) or the Revenue Administration’s website (GİB - Gelir İdaresi Başkanlığı).
Log in using your credentials or your foreigner identification number (if applicable).
Navigate to the “Traffic Fines Inquiry and Payment” section.
Enter the requested details, such as your vehicle registration number or driver’s license number, to check and pay fines.
2. Bank Branches or Online Banking
Many Turkish banks allow traffic fine payments through their branches, ATMs, or online banking platforms.
Ensure you have the fine reference number or your vehicle/driver's details to facilitate payment.
3. Tax Offices
You can pay your fine in person at any local tax office (Vergi Dairesi).
Bring your identification and the fine notification for faster processing.
4. Mobile Apps
Some Turkish banks and official apps like the “e-Devlet” mobile app support fine payments.
You can download these apps from your device’s app store and pay directly.
5. Post Offices (PTT)
Visit a nearby PTT (Posta ve Telgraf Teşkilatı) office, which handles various government-related payments.
Provide your fine details to make the payment.
6. Payment Deadline and Discounts
If you pay your fine within 15 days of issuance, you may receive a 25% discount as per Turkish traffic regulations.
7. Keep a Record
After payment, keep a receipt or confirmation for your records, in case there are any discrepancies later.
